Wondering who made the beautiful navy dress Queen Latifah wore in her just-released movie Joyful Noise? Well-known celebrity designer Tadashi Shoji designed the dress she wore in the final competition scene that has gotten so much attention for the way it flatters Queen Latifah. It has a sleeveless basket weave bodice with v-neck, chiffon with rhinestones on the shoulder. You can see a picture of her here from the movie and also a shot of the dress as it appears on the hanger from the set.
She stars in the movie with Dolly Parton, who also looks great in this movie after missing from the movies for over a decade.
Here also are the black Stuart Weitzman pumps Queen Latifah wore in Joyful Noise. Can’t read the shoe size from here!
Queen Latifah’s new movie, Joyful Noise, opened this weekend. The movie stars Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton as members of a church choir who enter a competition and is about their efforts to update their act to be more relevant to today’s audience. It features a lot of scenes from their small town in Georgia where Queen Latifah plays a waitress.
The two lead singers of the choir of course are Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, who have trouble getting along and it threatens to break up the choir and their chances of winning the competition.
Keke Palmer plays Queen Latifah’s daughter and Jeremy Jordan plays Dolly Parton’s grandson and they also join the choir and begin to shake things up.
There is a lot of really great singing in the movie and it features another great performance by Queen Latifah. It is also nice to see Dolly Parton in another movie. Overall, it is fun and leaves you feeling good as you leave the theater.
